Wally - Rabbit Creulty

We took in this rabbit to Greenfields Rescue Centre today. His owners would not pay to have him treated and wanted rid of him. He arrived unable to eat and is about half the body weight he should be. He was taken to the emergency vets where his teeth were burred back so that he can eat and he also needed to have his fur shaved off his back end as it was so caked in poo. Its amazing he wasnt fly struck because of course he was totally unable to groom himself. We have named the brave soul Wally (as in Walrus due to his "tusks")

Here he is on admission today

Feeling MUCH better:

Wally will need a great deal of ongoing dental treatment to both his back and front teeth to enable him to eat well enough to gain the weight he so desperately needs to. Donations are very much appreciated either via the website www.greenfieldsrescue.co.uk or by cheque payable to Green Fields Rescue and sent to: Green Fields Rescue, 29 Beedon Drive, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 8GJ.
