Bobtails and other south east rescues have been contacted by the RSPCA who removed 94 Dutch rabbits from a breeder who had decided to give up. Of these 22 have been found homes but the remaining 72 need homes by the end of next week otherwise they may have to be destroyed.
There isn’t enough immediately available space in rescue centres so new homes or temperary foster homes are urgently required.
All the rabbits were taken in have been placed in temporary foster homes. A big thank you to everyone that offered support!
Nearly all the rabbits appear in good health although many of the females are pregnant, this has resulted in over 40 baby rabbits so far to add to the total needing new homes. The rabbits have lovely temperaments, and although understandably a little nervous at first are settling in well. The rabbits are aged between new born babies and five years old and are a wide range of colours - black, brown, fawn, tri-colour...
Although the rabbits are now safe in temporary foster homes the task of finding perminant homes for them and their offspring still remains. If you are interest in adopting one please contact Bobtails on Bobtailsrescue@aol.com or Tel: 020 8393 2016.
