Homes needed for 14 Bunnies at Bracknell Rescue
Here at Bracknell Rabbit Rescue we have had in 14 bunnies on top of the 30 already in.
10 are 8 month old medium size rabbits, they were kept 5 to a hutch which was 4ft x 18". in one hutch were 4 males and 1 female, 2 of these males had severe bite wounds on the back and rump area. The other 5 were 3 females and 2 males, in better condition apart from being very smelly and hungry. they had one small rabbit bowl and 1 small water bottle per hutch.
The male and female are large black rabbits and the male is castrated but are seperated as they fought. The other 2 are both males, castrated and livivng together.
We will be keeping the females until we are sure they are not pregnant, then we will get them speyed. We intend to get all other males castrated. But, as we are self funded we just cannot afford to have this done immediately.
So we are appealing for help, either donations or offers of adoption of the rabbits. this is a list of the bunnies with details.
Fennel - all black female age 8 months, medium.
Nutmeg is a largish ginger and white lop x, she is 8 months old and is playful, not shown
any aggression but not easy to catch, this will come with time.
Dill is a very affectionate black and white medium lop X, she has ears like a propeller she is 8 months old.
These two brothers are 8 months old and very playful. Basil is white with dark brown markings and Bayleaf is white with black markings. not aggressive and like being stroked.
Toffee lives with Cadbury and they are brothers as yet un-neutered, they are 8 months old and largish in size. very affectionate.
Toffee is a caramel and black splodges colour and fluffy. Cadbury is 8 months old and the colour of cadburys chocolate and he is yummy
Sage is recovering from bad bite wounds to his rear end after being kept cramped with 4 other rabbits in a 4ft hutch.The vet said he will make a complete recovery. even tho he has been through so much he is a friendly and trusting bunnie, he doesnt have to go with his brother minty.
Minty was also suffering with bad bite wounds to his rear but will make
a complete recovery, neither boys have been castrated yet. he too is
friendly and trusting.
Dougal lives with his brother dylan, they are both about 2 years old and have been castrated. they are very fluffy cuddly bunnies who love a fuss.
Dylan, the brother of dougal, they are medium sized rabbits and devoted to each other.
Blackberry is a large castrated male, he loves to be stroked between his ears and is very easy to handle. he is approx 18 months old and all black.
Pickles is a lovely female bunnie, she is quite big and is all black and the mother of the other 10 bunnies. she may be pregnant so i will wait and see first before she is re-homed, but she will be speyed before she goes.
She has had a bit of a hard life and deserves to be someones special friend. she is approx 2 yrs old and friendly.just look at those ears!
